Pomme de Merde!

So I was missing in action the last two weeks because
A: I was really ill with a bad flu for about a week and a half and then
B: The Finlays came and we went up to Chemin Dessus, Valais for our annual snowboarding trip.

The vacation week was good fun, I was still recovering from my flu and I had to stay back in Geneva on Monday night and Tuesday night for work while the rest went for their first snowboarding on Tuesday.
On Wednesday Marc and Finlays came to pick me up and we went to the shooting range. Adorable Husband, Reda (AH's army buddy), Grant, Nat and I went and shot some rounds with a SIG P228, SIG P226 and HNK MP5 for about 40 minutes. I wasn't too happy about holding a gun, it felt really surreal. But in the end I did shoot like 3 rounds.
Even if I was standing the furthest while people was shooting, I still manage to get a shell bouncing off my forehead. Painful!

Thursday we went snowboarding in Verbier. We did a few runs.
We got some fresh snow in Valais on Friday and we did another day of snowboarding. I managed to pick up some skills but Nat had a pretty tough run because she got lost at one point. Poor Nat! She has decided she will learn how to ski next year.

Saturday was a day of rest. We went to a thermal bath in Saillon, Valais. It was amazing. We were in our swim suit outside in hot thermal baths. BUBBLES!
Sunday we had a racellete lunch with the grandparents and Auntie Marie Jo. Nat and I felt lazy and wanted to chill and the boys went for an afternoon last round of snowboarding.



Monday we had to do some chalet cleaning and left for Geneva at noon. We had dropped off Nat and Grant at the airport around 4pm and their flight was suppose to leave at 5:40pm, but due to some technical problems with their plane, their vacation was extended until the following morning. They couldn't get enough of the Pellauds and Geneva I suppose.

So now, we all are back at work. Next vacation will hopefully be in the summertime and this time not in Switzerland or London. Portugal perhaps? I'll link some photos later of this VERB holiday later.

Friends and Hat

Last weekend, two good friends of mine came to visit Adorable Husband and I in Geneva. We picked up Noi at the airport, and while waiting I saw Phil Collins. I wanted to break into one of his songs as he passed by, but I went blank. Kj arrived later from Davos, where he saw and heard cool people speaking and best of all saw Pitt and Jolie. Wowooo.
As it was their 30th birthday in Jan, we gave them a hotel room as a pressie. A.H and I also stayed in the hotel too. The weekend was fun, we ate non stop swiss food, rosti, raclette and fondue and steaks. They also updated me on the lastest news from home. I miss KL!!! :(
Oh and to remember the ol' times, we played Mario Cart, we brought our game cube and played all morning. The girls kicked the boys arse! Good fun. Even if it was a short time, it was one of the best weekends I had in Geneva. I need to get more of my friends over to Geneva more often.

Oh and ladies and gentlemen, while A.H. has been away doing his military service, I finished a project.... TAAAADDDAHHH.. A spazlee hat!!! You like?
