Sardy le Forges

About 300km away from Geneva is a little village called Sardy les Forges, in the Burgundy region of France. Adorable Husband, Attila and I drove for a 3 day mini vacation to visit Christophe R. an old friend from days back in college. Ironicly we haven't seen Christophe since our wedding three years ago, and it so happens we met up again the same day only 3 years later. (Yup A.H. and I had our wedding anniversary - 3 years.)

The village is cute and has a pop. of 60 people. Christophe's parents, sister, nieces and nephew were there vacationing.
The weather wasn't too nice when we were there, however the company, the food, wines (Christophe's dad has a cave with about 500+ bottles. We drank one that was as old as A.H and me!) and country side made up for it. We toured around the surrounding villages (Vezlay, Maison de Dieu, Clamcey, etc.) It was beautiful!!

It was a great break from Geneva and catching up with Christophe was a lot of fun. Now we know it isn't to far of a drive we will try meet up for another adventure, next time touring the vineyards of Burgundy.
